The artist says of her piece: “In Granada, at the foot of Sierra Nevada, water is everywhere. The Moors added sophistication to the city by installing fountains and channels, and so that they could also enjoy the sound of running water. In its day, Granada was also a city where the 3 dominant monotheist religions coexisted peacefully for many years. I want to bring these two important historical factors together in a video-installation. Tolerant and respectful coexistence with people of religious convictions is extremely important these days. The message behind this video-installation is that, at the end of the day, we are all pulling in the same direction and drinking from the same source”.
